Weekend in WY for an Archery Unlimited Event

Like every hunting gal not every weekend is specific to
scouting or the hunt. This doesn’t change the fact that the outdoors is a way
of life and wherever I am, I can find enjoyment and adventure that each individual
place offers. I had the opportunity to travel with my husband to visit
a couple of his dealers and work a weekend event in Wyoming over a three day
weekend. As we entered Wyoming we were greeted by one of the cowboy state icons,
antelope. They speckled the landscape and we drove by and planned our upcoming
season.

We wound our way through the Hoback, a tight winding
canyon just south of Jackson Hole, WY on our way to the southern part of the
state. The Hoback is well known for large mule deer as well as an all around
big game hunting grounds. We crossed the green river winding across the sage
brush flats north of Pinedale watching as the fly fishermen worked the banks of
this epic trout stream out of their drift boats.

After a day of work, we headed back along the same route
stopping briefly at a hidden hot springs tucked back in the mountains for a
quick soak then drove into Jackson Hole for dinner at Nikai Asian Grill and Sushi
bar for an unbelievable presentation and a tasty feast.

The next day after our morning run we headed to Archery
Unlimited in Etna WY for their customer appreciation day. It was a packed event
with lots of product on display and a warm inviting feel. Rocky Jacobson from
Bugling Bull game calls put on an informative elk hunting seminar and took time
to work with the attendees on calling techniques. Taking full advantage of the
opportunity I purchased a new diaphragm call and received the tips needed from
the pros on improving my calling technique. I saw some unique country, made
some new friends, and have some new tricks to take to the field this year.Bugle_instructionsWY_postim
